Exploration of DNA
Rosalind Franklin and her work with DNA, and the discovery of the double helix structure is no doubt due to her work ethic and dedication in acquiring the famous Photo 51. Her accomplishments at the time did not go unrecognized, yet they were under-appreciated due to the fact that men dominated the medical field at the time, and women's accomplishments seemed like a mere nothing to them all.

Rosalind Franklin was an accomplished molecular biologist with an expertise in the use of X-Ray crystallography. With respect to DNA Dr. Franklin was the only one to be able to take pictures of DNA in the wet form. Most pictures were of the dry revision of DNA and did not provide the clarity the wet form of DNA produced. |
