Illness
At the beginning of her illness she had thought that it was related to a pregnancy, yet when the diagnosis report came in,it was signed as "URGENT". She had several operations, and was hospitalized, in several different occasions for short periods of time. During her cancer treatment, Franklin continued to work and produce data and results, this included seven papers by 1956, and another six papers by 1957. In 1957 Franklin was working with the Polio Virus and had received funding from the "Public Health Service" Science for me, give a partial explanation for life. In so far as it goes, it it based on, fact, experience, and experiment. Death
Franklin had fallen sick and was admitted into the hospital in Chelsea, London on March 30. She died of ovarian cancer in April 16, 1958 at the age 37 of a combination of Bronchopneumonia, Carcinomatosis, and Ovarian Cancer. Many believed that the reason for her death was the exposure to the x-rays over the years She was buried on April 17,1958 in the Franklin family plot in Willesden United Synagogue Cemetery |
